Andrew is currently chairman of Chrysalis Investments, a London listed FTSE250 investment company which invests in technology enabled businesses in the financial, media, distribution and cybersecurity sectors. In addition to this role, Andrew chairs a venture backed modular housing business (UK and US), a hospitality business (UK) and a real estate business (UK). Andrew also sits on the board of a large European family office based in Guernsey.
Andrew started his career in banking after an economics degree at Cambridge. He started work at Bank of America, moving into private equity with what is now Bridgepoint Capital. For 20 years he was a partner at Botts & Company in London, a private equity investment advisory and management business in which Allen & Company had a significant interest. Whilst there, Andrew was responsible for closing over 30 investments and closing transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $2.5bn in the European mid market.
From 2008 onwards, Andrew has managed investments on behalf of a number of family offices in the European private equity sector.
Andrew lives in Guernsey and is a keen amateur yachtsman!
