AON’s IP Advantage Fund makes 1st lien senior secured private credit loans to borrowers, backed by the borrower’s intellectual property (IP). The Fund leverages AON’s industry-leading 150+ person IP valuation practice which maintains valuation data on over 140 million patents. In 1975, IP represented 17% of S&P 500 balance sheets; by 2020 that proportion had grown to 85%. The Fund was AON’s first IP lending fund, closing on $268mm.

Pan American Finance acted as the sole placement agent, raising $50mm for the Fund from a high-profile, well-respected corporate pension.
